About this deal

Marinemaster was specifically designed for professional divers with its robust case and strong strap.

This latest piece features inspired elements from the 1965 original diver, including its silhouette and distinctive hour markers. The horizontal line patterned dial evokes a marine-sports style, whilst its sapphire exhibition case back is a first in a Seiko Diver. Its lugs have a mirrored finish for added light reflection, whilst its thick hour markers are Lumibrite-coated for high legibility. This is the slimmest of all Seiko mechanical divers watches at only 12.3mm, despite the box sapphire glass and the exhibition case back.

This piece is powered by the new slim calibre 6L37 movement which maintains strong accuracy of -10 to +15 seconds per day, with a power reserve of 45 hours. Importantly, the new Marinemaster meets Seiko’s strict Diving ISO standard specification. This model is limited to only 1,000 pieces worldwide.

It's lovely (steel bezel), the movement is great and sizing is perfect. Should be at least 300m WR and still too expensive. (edited)

If the black dial was discounted I'd maybe have jumped. Hoping to see sub 2k for black Friday which is where this watch probably should have been priced.

Nice but seems expensive, then again maybe not

Note: It's an ex-display model. From an accuracy point of view Seiko are way behind at this price point. 6L35 has what something like +10/-15 seconds per day. Not sure even an 8L would tempt me. Saying all that it is an nice looking watch just very overpriced IMHO.

Absolutely, it's Chronometer money. I must admit I only opened the page as I thought I might have been a Spring Drive or similar, but I wasn't expecting to find a -10/+15spd movement with 45hr PR. Doesn't even compare to the SW300 which can be found in watches significantly cheaper.
