Xiaomi would give you 12GB/512GB for 300 king rubles, while a Samsung for 500 quid (on a good deal) only has 8GB/128GB...

specs are only part of the story though. You won't get as good software or updates or cameras with a £300 Xiaomi. The comparative Xiaomis are close to the same cost these days, only still with their ropey software. I'm not a fan of Samsung especially either by the way, but until Motorola do a truly decent camera and update life, or Google make less clunky more reliable hardware, I'm feeling a bit stuck with Sammy (or I could be persuaded with an Honor Magic at the right price).
