    Just got mine the manual states 10000btu and the plate on the air con shows 2900w so I think it is . Also got window kit although for sash window I think but I will modify for my vertical window. Not started yet as need to leave to stand for 24 hours.

    I used white mdf same as Blurigard mentioned. Cut to size to cover the small window and attached with velcro, quick and easy to remove

    I purchased last year one from Meaco and have to say it was a life saver. I am not sure about this brand but the price is quite reasonable

    keep in mind these are loud if you live in a built up area or an apt near others. the exhaust tube amplifies (imho) too.

    I think it’s another case of poor advertising like the 5000/9000 btu issue on Wilko, same brand and delivered by the same supplier in the backend (M H Starr)

    I’ve reviewed the manual and keyword searched rhe PDF version no mention of WiFi or app or anything. Following instructions from other homcom middles they all have a WiFi led on the front of the unit, this one doesn’t

    Again misadvertising unless anyone has managed to get this connected somehow with some other instructions

    I have a small outward opening window in our bedroom. I just loop the vent hose out of that window and while its not sealed the unit still works and cools the room.

    The same guys were the ones who were selling the black unit through Wilko for £160, delievered by Amazon within 5 days. Unit been good so far although not sure if its exact same one.

    I have 3 portable ac units. Paid around £100 for each and cost me bugger all to run as my solar more than covers these. The solar was installed on my house when I purchased it and as the estate agent admitted they don't factor solar into the value of the house so didnt pay for that really
