Amazing price for a solo cruise, a few cabins (3) left. £50 a night with code CRICKET10 - Departs Bristol.

Our second stop will take you to the bustling harbour of Stornoway in Scotland’s Western Isles. We’ll then make our way to Eidfjord, where you’ll take a sail of a lifetime down the Hardangerfjord - the world’s fifth longest fjord that stretches from the Atlantic into the heart of Norway. The village of Flam boasts unrivalled views of the Aurlandsfjord, with its vivid green valleys and crystalline waters. A trip to Norway wouldn’t be complete without sailing the Sognefjord, known as the 'King of the Fjords' for its unmatched size. Before we head back, a stop at Bergen, Norway’s second-largest city, is a must.

Saver Fares Include as Standard:
  • Sumptuous full board cuisine
  • Captain’s Welcome & Farewell cocktail party
  • Captain’s Gala Dinner & Baked Alaska Parade
  • A wide range of entertainment
  • Use of gym, swimming pool, hot tubs & spa - Porterage of luggage

Please don't add to basket for later (unless booking) as it makes it appear OOS for a while

Gratuities are a very reasonable £7 a day (compared to other lines)

how do you spot these? I'd be very tempted by this but have an appointment between these dates.

I don't really see being one of the youngest on board as an issue. Better than being on a booze cruise.

Ambassador tend to have many last-min offers for solo travellers & others too.

Sailed with Ambassador last October , like a floating care home. Most had gone to bed by 10pm.

Sounds great to me. Actually 10pm is a bit late, hope they keep the noise down.

Does the discount work on their other sailings

you could alwyas test another cruise and see if it will allow you

This cruise also goes from Falmouth that's why that's the first stop.

Stornoway is often a missed port due to weather.

They made it into Stornoway this week as the Irish and inner seas have been really really calm.

Just a reminder, it resets after an hour though.

Most time is at sea or UK, not really 10 days or close to in Norway.

It's a British Isles cruise with a 3 day diversion to Norway. Most of the trip is spent circumnavigating the UK. I've seen 7 day itineraries with more time in Norway.

Great deal but it’s actually on Ambition not Ambience

fahed it’s still pretty much the same offering so if you enjoyed last year you will enjoy it again no doubt  (edited)

Lol, the main picture on the Ambassador site for this cruise is the river front in Trondheim (Bakklandet)
    en.wikipedia.org/wik…det
This cruise goes nowhere near Trondheim.

Food stops after approx 9.30 tho there are a few late snacks around the bars at appro 11 (think fried stuf and canapes)

if you take the drinks package (which includes just about all drinks) you cannot remove the tips. if you dont have a package you can go to reception and fill out a from you can remove them

the discount will work on other cruises, you also get a discount if you belong to English Heritage i think the code is heritage10

When we were on the drinks package 'Ambassador Fare' included tips and gratuities , that's perhaps why you can't cancel them if you have a package?
The times they do food also meant there was 60 minutes or so window in the afternoon (from around 14.00) when no food was available. Not good if you arrive back from a trip at that time. (edited)

Are ambassadors still good ? cruised with them last may and had a great time. Although it was a pensioners cruise, for the price it was fantastic. Has anyone traveled with them recently.

Does 'Full Board' mean no included snacks or drinks between meals?
    Meltigemini's avatar
I don't think it does from what I can see. You have to pay something like £400 to upgrade with the premium drinks package, but it's not clear if you can get just the "non premium" house wines and spirits for cheaper than that.
  14. paul.hendry's avatar
is there a way to remove gratituaty?
    AlexanderCarlJakubowski's avatar
    No

Whilst it seems cheap I see no appeal in this....only 3 days in Norway and an inside cabin too.
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
Yep, a standard 7 day fjord cruise has 3 days in Norway. This itinerary adds an extra 3 days at sea while chugging around the UK.

Only showing the superior twin cabin for £619, have the cheaper rooms sold out?
Or maybe someone's added to basket....

Edit: Still showing as sold out after an hour, so I think they've all gone. (edited)

yorkie that’s right you can’t take the tips off with package as it’s part of it .    The grill outside us open from 2.30 so only a 30min wait hopefully

Stornaway also has a new cruise terminal which should make things easier there
